
The freedom of movement with the European Union (EU) will end on 31 December 2020.
This means EU nationals who wish to come to the United Kingdom (UK) must have the right visa to live, study and work in the UK. It also means that employers wishing to recruit EU nationals must take steps to ensure they are able to do so.
From 1 January 2021, employers wishing to recruit staff from outside the UK must be a Home Office licensed sponsor. As a licensed sponsor, an employer will be able to recruit workers from the EU and from anywhere in the world.
